Particularities.
Due to its water-based formula, Aqua Cast is environmentally friendly and biodegradable. Easily pigmentable, it is ideal for ceramics and textured artwork and offers high detail reproduction. It also has high surface hardness, strength and high UV protection.
Measuring, mixing and processing Aqua Cast
1.) Mineral powder and water are mixed by volume 10:3.5. Place the two components in a suitable mixing cup.
2.) Stir the measured amount in the mixing cup. Use a plastic spatula for this. Stir slowly and thoroughly for 2-3 minutes; also on the bottom and edges of the mixing cup to avoid lumps.
3.) Once your mass has reached a creamy consistency, add your desired pigment. You can add a little pigment to the water before mixing the two components.
4.) Your mix is ??now ready and you have 10-20 minutes to process the Aqua Cast. After that it becomes too thick and begins to harden.
5.) You have prepared your mold beforehand, which means: it has been dusted off, degreased and is lying flat on your work surface. Now pour the Aqua Cast color mixture into your mold. Stir the mass inside the mold to remove any air bubbles. This also applies if the mass thickens quickly when pouring.
7.) The curing process takes 60-90 minutes. Your form will begin to heat up with the chemical reaction.
8.) After one to two hours you can remove your mold from your object. You then have the opportunity to further edit your art object. It is a good idea to cover your object with clear resin or seal it with our hydroflow sealer.

Our hydroflow sealer is an acrylic coating designed to work with our water based hydroflow. With the hydroflow sealer you can easily seal and protect the molds you have made. With the hydroflow satin sealer you achieve a gloss on your surface, while with the egg sealer you get a matt result.

After the hardening process of your mold, you can easily apply our hydroflow sealer and rub it on your surface with a damp cloth, brush or sponge. The hydroflow sealer has an eco-friendly acrylic formula and is made to be used with hydroflow or Aqua Cast.
